The Honeymoon Begins Where the Reception Ends!

Amongst the many highlights of getting married in Gozo, is the promise of a built in honeymoon with all of Europe and The Mediterranean right outside of your reception!  Think about it – when you get married in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, you are just a quick flight away from exploring castles in Amsterdam, walking hand in hand along the river Seine in Paris, or sipping sangria at an outdoor cafe in Barcelona.

Air Malta, the “official airline of the Maltese Islands” offers flights to dozens of world class cities and perfect honeymoon destinations.  Gozo may seem like quite a distance to travel for your dream wedding, but you may be considering traveling this far for your honeymoon.  Once you’re in Gozo, you don’t have to deal with an extra long flight to arrive at your romantic  getaway.  Most flights are just under 3 hours!  You’re just a couple of in-flight glasses of wine away from snapping newlywed photos at the Coliseum or Buckingham Palace.

The seasons are changing and Autumn is showing its face with glimpses of Winter popping up from coast to coast.  Though the warm months are now in our rear view mirrors, they don’t have to be forgotten for too long.  With the changing of seasons, comes a traditionally quieter time for weddings in Gozo.  But the planning heats up!  This is a great time to brainstorm, explore colors, talk to vendors and plan ahead for a Spring or Summer 2013 wedding on the Island of Calypso.

Gozitan and international brides will be competing for top reception sites and the perfect date for the perfect wedding.  It would certainly warm you up to start imagining your dream wedding in the Mediterranean right now, even though there’s a chill in the air.  Thoughts of a champagne toast by the sea is just what we need right now as we bundle up and get cozy.  I’m ready to dream and plan with you through the snow and rain!
